terrible signal in Mayfair London

Since the beginning of last week (when the heatwave hit) all of a sudden there's hardly any signal anymore when I'm at work in Mayfair. Sometimes it's two bars 4G at the most, at other times it's only one bar or it goes down to 3G. Calls often don't come through and browsing the internet doesn't work. It's the same problem whether I'm inside or outside. This has never been the case before. And my colleagues who are on EE also have the same problem.

If I walk several blocks for example over to Soho I do get proper signal again. I don't know if some equipment broke in the area, but it's very frustrating as I basically can't use my phone at work anymore at all. And as it's not only myself, it can't be my phone but must be the network.

Hi @DoverSt1

Thanks for coming back to us.

If this has not improved, please call us and provide the ID, our Tech Gurus will get this looked into further for you.

Leanne.

I work on Berkeley Street and the problem is ongoing. It’s been appalling all week. I thought it was my phone, but having seen this thread I wish I had reported it earlier.

I walked to Oxford St at lunchtime and  there were no issues once there.

Come on EE, how can you not know you have a problem with some equipment in the area. Please tell us what the problem is and how long it is going to take to fix.

🙏

The vast majority of network faults are picked up by auto-monitoring and/or performance metrics.

Sometimes issues only become apparent through end-user reports, and for that reason - if anytime users have issues that aren't reported on the status tool, then the "report a problem" link is the best course to follow.

If every end user with problems were to report them using this method, then all the better.

Hi @Bourdon1,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Please report any network issues you experience via the Network Status Checker. This feedback is sent directly to our network team so they can investigate.

Thanks

The signal continues to be appalling in and around Bond Street. It was final until a few weeks ago, and now is terrible.

I don't want ee to tell me to check this and that, there are many here complaining....sort it out or lose another customer...

Hi @Bourdon1

Thanks for coming to the community.

If you use our EE Coverage & Network Status Checker, and select 'Check Status' this will show any known problems, for the area.

If none are currently showing if you select 'Report a problem', this will be sent to our network team who will get this looked into and keep you updated.

Thanks.

Leanne.
