I have been connecting to the phone mast below for months now and 5g and 4g+ signal used to be really good, now there is just 4g - can anyone say when the better service will return?

Hi @andy426
Welcome to the Community!
Weknow howi important it is for you to be able to get connected, so I can appreciate your frustraton at not receving our fastest speeds.
Have you checkout our Status page to see if there is anything happening in your area, which may be causing this?

4G+ is often a euphemism for 4G-CA. That site is a single-carrier B3/B20 deployment.
What's the issue you're having with service?

Thanks for advising that tower does not provide carrier aggregation, perhaps it's another tower around Huntly I was connecting to with a 5g connection, (in recent weeks). I'm trying to get reconnected with 5g, so wanted to know what tower is/was providing 5g in Huntly, (or at worst 4g+) to see if there is hope of getting decent data speeds.

You misunderstand - a single B3 & single B20 carrier can still be aggregated, my point was that in response to your reference to "4G+", that can often just be a euphemism for multiple 4G carriers aggregated. Some operators still refer to it for this purpose.

Ok, so back to my original question do you know what towers provide 5g in or around Huntly?

Good afternoon @andy426.
This isn't information we would be able to provide through the Community, but if you speak with our technical team, they can take a closer look at the masts serving your area, and provide more detail on how it is you're connecting.

I could hazard an educated guess as to which site(s) in Huntly are 5GNR equipped, but depending what your motivations are, the more pertinent question would also be which 5G bands/carriers are broadcast.
The coverage map is your best bet for pure "where do I get 5G" questions.
