Hi, i changed to virgin for broadband back in january and since have had issues with wifi calling. Im on an iphone 13 pro max and when i use my phone in the house noone can hear me, the call is although i have poor reception. I can hear the other person perfectly though. I have reset network settings on my phone and if i use whatsapp to call it works perfectly. This gapoens no matter where i am in the house but wifi signal is strong in every room so no issues with bandwidth.
Are there router ports to open up for wifi calling?
other people in my house on o2 have no problems and this is causing me issues with work calls and needs resolving.

Hi @Chopper74
Welcome to the community.
Are you able to try making a call when you're connected to a different WiFi router?

If either incoming or outgoing audio is working, this proves the call is setup and all necessary config is inplace.
Do you have a complete loss of audio which is never setup and never returns, or does it come & go during a call?
As already asked - does this happen with other routers? Are you sure your phone is using WiFi-calling when this happens - or is it handing between WiFi-calling & 4G-calling?

I also have Virgin Broadband and live in a poor signal area so use wifi calling at home. My wife and I both have EE contracts and iPhones and we both have problems with people unable to hear us even though we can hear them perfectly.
My neighbour has BT broadband and has now cancelled his EE contract as he had the same problem. No problems with his new SIM provider.
So three different phones ,SIMS and two different broadband providers all with the same problem.
Common factor seem to be EE.

I have Virgin broadband although don't use their freebie router and have my own wireless kit.
There's multiple EE phones use this SSID and WiFi-calling works very well. So although I'm not doubting the issues in the latest reply, they're certainly not blanket and may be specific to particular configs.
