EE told me to turn off my signal
booster and start using Wi-Fi calling. I’ve done this but Wi-Fi calling isn’t working. I’ve enabled it on my iPhone se and my broadband is working fine. I have no speed issues at all with my router. I’ve tried everything, restarting router and phone and still it’s not working. My WhatsApp work perfectly so what’s going on EE?

My WiFi calling has stopped functioning. Have done all the usual tricks, WiFi off/on, EE off/on, aeroplane mode on/off, phone reset, phone off/on, internet reset, WiFi calling off/on, Router off/on. Nothing is working to bring it back. WiFi is fine and registering a steady 260mbps (60mbps upload), internet on phone is working as it should. We have literally no signal where we live so it's not trying to link to the 4g. Any more ideas?
Got to say ee's WiFi calling is not exactly reliable at the best of times. Often doesn't connect after leaving WiFi area and returning again. And it's essential to me.

My husband and I are having the same issue, he has an android phone and I have apple. Both just suddenly stopped. We have no signal at home so rely on wifi calls to ring people, particularly landlines. Following for answers.

I'm hoping it's a network issue. Maybe ee can actually do something about it.

We have the same issue here. Nobody told us the boosters were being phased out; no email, no text, nothing. Now it's stopped working. A phone call to EE and they said to use wifi-calling. It just doesn't work.
We have four different handsets, all of which support wifi calling:
Samsung S21+
Pixel 6
Huwawei P20 Mate Pro
Huwawei P20 Mate
None of these handsets work with wifi calling when we put one of our two EE sims in them.
There's nothing strange with our home network; ee broadband with their latest router. Everything else in the house has no problem connecting to wifi, including the handsets above, and the speed is fairly consistent (40mb down, 18mb up).
This means we cannot make or receive calls at all. We have no 4g signal as we're fairly remote, and now no phones as we got rid of the landline a long time ago.
This is a total breach of contract as far as I'm concerned; exceptionally poor service.

@claire_in_india : WiFi Calling is not supported from outside UK.

@Hellsmk2 I had the same issue when Vodafone turned off their boosters (with no notice). Which is when I moved to EE.
Couple of points to note...
1) whilst your handsets may support WiFi Calling, it seems not all networks provide WiFi Calling for all those phones. Check with EE for a list of handsets they support.
2) I had to contact EE to "turn on" WiFi Calling for my EE sim, even though I'd set everything I had access to on my handset.
3) You have to turn on WiFi Calling in your phone app (and/or in Settings, depending on your handset).
Don't despair yet!
Good luck.

Exactly the same here - only happened this evening - went off at about 7pm - still not available... everything else fine (whatsapp, internet on phone - just no calls over wifi)
Has been fine for years - EE supplied phones - iphone & P30 pro - both same issue.
Hope its a network fix.. will have to wait and see when tech support are back on the phones tomorrow.

- All are locked to EE only.
- All have Wifi calling enabled.
- All come up with some a variation of "mobile network not available" when you try to make a call.
- None show an icon in the top bar to show wifi-calling as they should do (VolWifi/Wifi-calling).
- None will work in airplane mode with wifi enabled.
- All work normally for everything else on wifi (browser / other apps).
I'll call EE again tomorrow, but they were adamant that the phones were all set their end for wifi-calling. I'd be shocked if any of the listed handsets weren't supported by EE, as they've all come from EE and all support wifi calling.

00:30 pleased to report WiFi calling working again! So clearly a network problem.
