I have just seen the list of the latest 17 towns and cities to be given 5G Stand Alone aka 5GSA . And to my disbelief I have noticed not a single town or city in the whole of Wiltshire is on it.
Wiltshire is a county with a population of over 520000 people and it's biggest town Swindon has a population of over 185000 people. I find it incredulous that we have been ignored yet again by EE. The only towns and cities in the whole of Wiltshire with any 5GSA at all are Chippenham and Salisbury. The rest is non existent and apparently with no plans for 5GSA implementation anytime soon
Why is this?
Bath in comparison has a population about half of Swindon yet it seems to be fully 5GSA covered.
Anyone with any ideas please?
And yes I do know noone here works for EE unless otherwise stated.
Thanks very much in advance.
Thank you very much in advance.

Unfortunately they cannot cover everywhere at once, there will always be some areas covered before others. Important to add the context that there are parts of the UK without even 5G-NSA coverage at present.
It is a fast-moving rollout however and they only announce locations when they are sure they will be ready and live up to coverage expectations - without knowing their internal rollout plans you can't say with certainty that it is not something they're already working on.

Having been into mobile phone etc for over 30 years I am aware that no magic wand exists to give everyone 5GSA.
Even so I think it's reasonable to expect large towns like Swindon to have a higher a priority over somewhere like Barry and Chippenham
