Then you connect to your own router, EE-536.... When you have your own BB router there's nowt to be gained by trying to connect to the other 2, 1 of which won't allow you anyway.

Do you own a Broadband router having either of the networks 2 or 3? If so, then connect to your own router. Otherwise they will be your neighbours' & they won't want you on them.

1 is the public EE WiFi network which you can use free if you have either New EE BB or BT BB or you can pay for it by the hour.

BTW They are not mobile networks but WiFi networks.

Thank you

Yes I have the latest EE router.

I've now accessed the removable / replaceable bit of plastic at the top and it says my "Network Home" is the " EE-536... " one

Do I just enable that one on the phone ? Or is there anything to be gained by doing the other 2 as well.  ?

As you can tell I've never bothered with wifi before ..... and I'm only doing so now because my phone says it needs wi-fi enabled to download updates ( for reasons I don't pretend to understand either )

@tobyo565 , please use the one that has EE 536… as that is the one you will need, but if you have enough data, you can also download updates by making sure that you have the settings to enable downloads via data, which should be in settings.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

You can of course log in to your router and rename your network to something easier to remember
