Hi
Where do I report very weak mobile signal? And can anything be done about it, it's been years. Our house in central Torquay near the Riviera Conference centre has plenty of conference guests but little signal. I guess we are not London so go to the back of the queue?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

No, WiFi-Calling is completely different to apps such as you mention. It allows you to use your phone for calls & texts entirely as normal, providing the device has a WiFi connection.
The menu options differ between Apple & Android.

Hi @AlistairL
Welcome to the community.
Have you had a look at our Coverage Checker? What does it estimate the coverage to be for your postcode?

Hi
It says "great coverage outdoors and good coverage indoors on your Google Pixel 7".
There's barely one bar in the first and top floor by a window. None in the basement where we mainly live.
Thanks

The building materials and the fact the basement would be below ground could be affecting it a bit, @AlistairL.
Do you have WiFi in your house? WiFi Calling may be of use to you.

Far from it. EE are industry-leaders in rural coverage, thanks to the Shared Rural Network, Scottish 4G Infill & Emergency Services projects.
EE use a combination of high-band & low-band coverage on 4G & 5G, but 100% national indoor coverage is always going to be difficult - WiFi-calling is an excellent mitigation for these areas.

Thanks, how do I make and receive with wifi calling? Do you mean What's app or Skype?

Yes I have wifi,
but does it enable people to call my number in the first place? Or does it give better voice once they have called?

With WiFi-calling enabled, your phone's WiFi connection replaces the mobile network signal - and allows your phone to otherwise work in exactly the same as if it had mobile service.
You can make & receive calls as normal, send & receive text messages as normal - calls will automatically swap between WiFi & mobile service as required.
