Rural Northumberland network maintenance issues

I had a couple of texts recently saying there would be some network disruption for a few days whilst they did scheduled maintenance etc, etc. However, the timeframe stated is now over and my network coverage is worse than ever - can’t make internet searches or even phone calls from inside my house any more. Is it STILL going on? has it over-run? Or does this mean that whatever the “maintenance” was that EE were actually doing, they’ve now ruined coverage in my area and I need to get a different network? I’m stressed coz my husband keeps going into hospital at the moment and I can’t even keep in touch with him as we have no landline!

Hi @LF10

Have you checked EE network status checker?

Thanks

Unfortunately the list of possibilities as to what this work was, is quite lengthy.

If you have WiFi at home, I'd recommend using EE's WiFi-calling service anytime you have indoor coverage issues.

It allows you to use your phone without needing any recourse to mobile network service. Checking the status checker as already suggested, would be a good indication of whether the planned works window has indeed been extended.

Hi, thanks but that is the problem. I have NO landline at home so if EE is no longer going to give decent coverage, I need to change network….?
Hi, yes it’s says coverage should be good but it suddenly isn’t 😞 it used to be!!

Hi @LF10,

Did you also look at the 'check status' option, rather than 'check coverage'?
