I have only "edge" signal almost all day now in london.

I'm having the same issue of late. Normally signal always fine, but now when I leave the house and switches to mobile internet, it goes to e.  Then I need to reboot it for it to go to 5G. Very annoying now.

Well, so far in the same town, but it happens when I leave the house, or when I go somewhere (Tesco in this case which is only down the road from my house) and connect to their Wi fi and then when I leave it does it as well.

No, if I now switch off my WiFi in my house and connects to mobile internet it immediately goes on e. Then I need to reboot my phone to correct it. Only noticed this recently, like last week or so. My phone had an update and seems since then it's been doing this so I'm not sure if it's the phone or the network

Hi @shepol 

Thanks for coming back to us. 

Could you try resetting the network settings, to do this go into your iPhone Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will restart the iPhone and remove any saved WiFi passwords.

I have an android not iPhone.

But strange, I just tried now and seized l switched off my WiFi and goes to 5G so maybe was an issue that's now sorted??
