Poor service

I have really poor service to a point at times I cannot make/receive calls!  This problem has only occurred over last couple weeks!

 

any suggestions!  I should be on 5G but this changes!

@Jog123456  Is this in just one location or more than one location?      In more than one locations point to a device issue, but you can check the network to see if there is a known issue in your location you can use THIS

@Jog123456  Have you tried a network reset on your device?  This is in settings>general>transfer or reset iPhone>reset>reset network settings.

4G is generally regarded as the base coverage layer, does your phone fallback to that in the absence of 5G.

Testing whether this is location-specific or more general, will be fundamental to fault-finding.
