Hello, everyone,
It's very rare for me to use the EE site and I would be very grateful for some essential information.
(For your information, the IMO Q2 Plus (4G) I bought last year is so difficult to understand with its inadequate instructions that I use it solely for receiving One Time Passwords. EE's website is so daunting in its complexity that I've barely ever used it.)
I believe the EE signal in these parts has not be good in recent times. Might it explain why my bank was unable to send me important OTPs today (24 June '22)? Please note
that I can find no new email in my inbox warning of continuing signal issues.
Would anyone know, please, so that I can warn my bank?
Thank you for any information you can provide.

@Buratic Here’s the manual for your device >CLICK HERE<
have you checked the EE signal in your area with THIS and then click the check status tab.
The signal could be the reason why but there could be many reasons why.

Good morning, Chris,
Thank you so much for your prompt reply, which I have just read
and been acting on.
(For information, I'd already perused my IMO manual and my copy
of FAQs, but without success.)
The Checker reveals "No known problems" in this area. However,
I notice that the IMO's "Connect" symbol on the Status Bar seems
to fluctuate. The white symbol, sometimes loses its two tiny
triangles pointing up and down and sometimes the symbol becomes
black in colour with an "X" to its lower right. The manual (generally
inadequate, in my view, like so many) appears to give no guidance
anywhere. Indeed, no advice on solving "problems" in general.
Might the occasional "X" indicate a new outbreak of the previous
signal fault and need reporting to EE?
I look forward to your reply and thank you warmly in anticipation.
Best regards,
Eric

If this is a recent problem, I'd suggest using the status checker as recommended in the posts above. It serves two functions:
1: "Check coverage" predicts the normal service in a given location
2: "Check status" checks for known faults & issues in that locality, and also allows you to "report an issue" if you believe there to be a problem that's not listed.
Asking around other EE users in your area, as to whether they're also having problems, can also help ID if this is a network issue - if there is, all users will be equally affected.

Hello again, Chris B,
In the interim, I've also been trying to get more info from the android's manufacturer, given the inadequacy of the IMO's "manual".
It would SEEM that wi-fi connectivity is SOMEHOW at fault, even though I have no
difficulty using this laptop to send this and other messages!
I bought this so-called "smart" phone (4G) last November and, frankly, I can make little head or tail of it. I've kept it simply for 2FA/ OTP purposes. (The previous mobile, my first ever, was unusable. Its leaflet of instructions appeared to lack Chapter 1!)
Thanks again for interest and advice. I'll "soldier on", limiting myself to 2FA / OTP.

Hello, Bristolian,
Thank you so much for your interest. Your advice It has been helpful.
My apologies for the delay, longer than I would have liked. I have, in the interim, been trying to get more info from the android's manufacturer, given the inadequacy of the device's "manual".

I bought this so-called "smart" phone (4G) last November and, frankly, I can make little head or tail of it. I've kept it simply for 2FA/ OTP purposes, and that took a great deal of effort. (The previous mobile (2G), my first ever, was never usable. Its leaflet of instructions appeared to lack Chapter 1, so much essential information was missing, particularly on how to find your way through its "maze".)
Thanks again for interest and advice. I'll "soldier on", limiting myself to 2FA / OTP. Anything more ambitious would be "asking for trouble".
