Phone cannot make or receive calls

Hiya!

My phone isn't able to make or receive phone calls, even though my signal and WiFi are both strong (I have tried with both WiFi calling switched on and off and it's not making a difference).

I'm not able to phone the EE customer service/helpline because of this. I'd seen someone other people put up on the forums that they'd been having a similar issue. So was hoping someone may be able to help. 

I've also tried all the usual powering the phone down, taking out the SIM etc. Also my account is all up to date with payments so it's not been deactivated.

Have you tried restarting your phone? What happens when you make a call, and what happens when people call you? Is there a verbal or on-screen message?

Hi Chris,

My apologies I should have said about all this in the original post.

Yes I've tried turning it on and off to no avail. When I try to make it call it doesn't even ring it just immediately ends the call. I've had a relative phone me and nothing appears on my phone with no indication that I'm getting a call, and there's no sound or connection.

I've had problems on and off with this in the past but it usually resolves itself after a couple hours and I can't find a reason behind it. This time however I'm on day two with the problem.

We'll do our best to help. Are you able to send and receive text messages, and use the mobile internet on the phone?

Are you on contract or pay as you go?

Hi I am also having the same issue, tried turning the phone on & off which hasn’t helped. I can text people & receive texts but no phone calls what so ever. As you’ve asked about any error messages I’m getting nothing & my internet is all working fine. 

judging by other posts is this something that more than a few people are dealing with? I can’t find the option to live chat you guys as it’s saying unavailable 

 

any help would be appreciated thanks ☺️

In addition, does the phone show the VoLTE (Android) or 4G-calling (Apple) indicators next to the coverage indicators?

If you disable 4G or force 2G/3G in the network settings menu, does this make any difference?

I have received some texts this morning and everything appears to be okay with the internet on my phone. 

I'm an on a contract.
