Not Registered on Network Issue plus no roaming wifi

I recently got an new samsung galaxy on upgrade and it was working fine. Then yesterday it did a system update and now it keeps telling me I am not registered on the network so I cant make any standard calls. Then when I leave my house I'm not getting any wifi connection and the phone is 5G. I cant even call EE!!

I've turned it on and off

I've taken the sim out and put back in.

Data roaming is on.

What else should I try? Does anyone know if there is a network error in Kent at the moment?

You're not roaming when you're in UK.

Roaming means using your phone on networks other than your own, usually abroad. Equally, WiFi is just a connection between a mobile device and wireless router - totally independent of a mobile network.

Did your phone connect to EE's mobile network since updating the software? Is this problem only in one specific location or multiple ones?  Do you know any other EE users locally who also have a loss of service?

A first-line check for local issues is the "check status" option on https://coverage.ee.co.uk/coverage/ee
