Did you mean:

No signal in my area, southport marshside

For the last 4 days when I get home from work I have no signal whatsoever and due to not having full fibre Internet i have been relying on the £82 contract I pay to hot-spot most things in my house, without being able to use my phone it's become pretty much pointless if it is not sorted out soon I will be leaving EE network and going elsewhere.

If you've not done so already, try toggling flight mode to ensure your phone hasn't "dropped off" available coverage.

Use the "check service status" option on https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile-coverage-checker  in the first instance, to check for local service outages. The "report a problem" link should be used if no issues are reported but EE users continue to have issues.A loss of coverage will remove the ability to make/receive calls, send/receive texts or use mobile data.

Hi there. This has been an ongoing problem since 19th November when a number of 5g masts went down... It is still  up and down so clearly has not been sorted yet. I have the same set up. No cable or phone line so rely solely on 5g to run everything in our house. i have 5 ee contracts... If this isnt fixed soon ill be getting virgin as they just appeared down our street. I'll then be moving on from ee after 30 loyal years... Absolute disgrace. Ps. ring em on 150 and they will credit you your £80 plus bill...

The term "5G mast" is a popular misconception, there are "EE masts" which all carry a combination of technologies. 4G is a bare minimum, 2G & 5G often added depending on location and coverage requirements.

5G-NSA also requires 4G as an anchor layer.

Well thanks for that. A number of masts are broke then... It sounds like you know what you're talking about, perhaps you could help them fix it!

I have been told by EE Customer Services that the problem is with the mast on Emmanuel Church. Apparently there was water ingress in the electricity cabinet and power to the mast had to be cut. A new electricity cabinet is required which is not within the control of EE and last week I was told that service was due to be restored on 18 December but so far I still have no service either.

Thank you Arcnet I heard something similar from ee, in the meantime customers are leaving ee en mass, a few of my neighbours have jumped over to Virgin fibre so they must be rubbing there hands... I'm staying for now as I'm out of contract and have spent £225 on a tpX50 5g router and extender which is picking up a weak signal from the sandown court mast opposite the fire station. Also got internet calling set to "on" within my mobile settings, so can now receive calls at home. If it goes past a month since your billing cycle you can get a second month back off your bill... So for me, if it's still crap after 20th I'll be asking for another months money back... 👍 You'd think they'd be fixing the supply box as a matter of urgency but they don't seem to be that bothered... They will lose a LOT of customers over this for sure...
