My phone was working fine earlier this morning but I went to check it a moment ago and it came up with the message “no sim”. I now have no service, I’ve tried turning it off and on, cleaned the sim and have turned airplane mode on and off but still have nothing.
my area has good coverage indoors and outside. Can anyone help?

Do you know anyone else locally who uses EE, and also has loss of service? Does your phone work in other locations?
The specific phrasing "no SIM" is unusual, but any error message involving SIM does suggest that's the problem rather than EE's network.
