No Signal or One Bar After Sim Upgrade

Blessid

I upgraded my Sim from a 3G T Mobile which was becoming obsolete.  The order was topsy turvy and my old sim which had been working fine was cut off before I even got the replacement sim.  Since Sat 03 Sept I have not been able to use the phone as I haven't had a consistent signal.  There was no problem before.  Contacted Customer Service contact to Request a call back.  They call back, phone had no signal, they say call again!

That was Mon 05 Sept, been like this all week. Have no reliable phone service, and have paid the bill before upgrade, as well as the bill that crossed after upgrade?  What am I paying for? My only phone line has been trashed by this poor service after being a customer since 1996.  What needs to happen for this to be sorted out? Outrageous, my voicemail was deleted and nobody knows if they have dialled incorrectly because I have always had the same personal greeting, never an EE generic one. They cant get hold of me through no fault of my own.  Disability doesn't allow for EE signal failure. Resolve this issue.

There is no account access on this internet forum.

I would encourage you to persist with contacting EE C/S who have the required account access. You can use 0800 0798586 from any working phone, if necessary.

Hi @Blessid,

Welcome to the Community.

Just to double check, is your new SIM working, just not all the time?

I'm sorry about your voicemail message, once we get you up and running, you'll be able to record a new greeting.

James

@Blessid  What device are you using ?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

James - Thanks - the Sim works but unable to use it to make calls or receive them because of the inconsistent signal.  I have an issue recording a new message due to my speech impediment now, hence my voicemail message always came across with whatever sim upgrades in the past many years.

The error I think is, whoever did this did not process it as a 'replacement sim with the upgrade' they just seemed to hit 'new sim'.  Good job I know my number too, as it is showing me the number of the phsycially new sim and I can't change it either.  Blessid

Chris - using an Xperia XA1 Compact or G3121.  I did query whether there is something I can somehow copy from the old deactivated sim to my storage card and then back to the relevant place, but technical didn't know! Thanks.

Hi @Blessid

If you give us a call on 150 or 0800 079 8586 the team will get this looked into for you.

Leanne.

Leanne_T - Thanks but the problem is I cannot call from home because I don't have a signal to last the duration of however long it takes in the call queue.  Catch 22 - not in a position to go out without a working phone. Email is what would be helpful - I am stranded until the thunderstorm weather lifts, then I might be able to try driving to use someone else's phone.  Blessid
