Did you mean:

No 5G DCNR Restricted (NSA) = True

Hi. Got a 5G plan, got a 5g phone (galaxy A14 5G), live in 5G area, regurally travel to other strong 5G areas but never ever get a 5G connection, 4G+ at best.

Been through millions of hoops with EE customer services, even level 2 technical and just been told to check all settings on phone (which I have done loads of times now, its all fine), apparantly everything is right at their end for 5G. They won't help further until I do a SIM/phone swap test in an EE store (which just ins't possible for me to do at the moment).

As I was desperate I got a three mobile pay as you go sim and that connects instantly to 5G in my phone so the phone must be ok.

However, on cellmapper my connection at all masts at all areas reads: 5G DCNR  restriected (NSA) - True. Wheras on my three mobile connection it reads 5G DCNR restricted (NSA) - false even when I am outside of 5g signal.

To me that suggests my 5G has been restricted at a network/EE level?? - if so how on earth do it get EE to fix this when they just won't help me at all any further unless I do an EE shop SIM/phone swap which I am not in a position to do?

Have they tried re-provisioning your SIM (cut you off & reconnect you) making sure 5G was enabled on your account their end?

A similar thing happened to me on another network & I remember that fixed it.

Did  you manage to fix this? I'm struggling with this problem myself. Thanks!

Hi @MattCK

Thanks for coming back to the community.

What device are you using?

Are you in a 5G area and have a 5G plan set up?

Leanne 🙂

Hey.

Yes I have 5G, and I'm in a 5G area. I'm on a Pixel 8 Pro with the same flag stating it's restricted, so it seems this is an issue on EE's side.

Thanks for coming back to me @MattCK

Are you able to try the SIM card in another 5G device to see if the same happens?

Have you had 5G signal showing at all?

Leanne.

Hi. No, I have given up. EE are saying it's not them but I still believe it is.

I have got fed up being asked to check settings on my phone, it's not that. I'm sure it's not otherwise my three mobile sim wouldn't connect to 5g. My EE cellmapper connection is still showing as 5G restricted NSA feature true. 5g has never and never works anywhere.

Unless I do a SIM swap and handset swap in an EE store I'm not going to get anywhere further. That however is very inconvenient for me so I will just have to stick with 4G. I'm sort of hoping when I renew my contract some settings will get reset and it will work but that's probably wishful thinking.
