New phone, same sim

I have just upgraded my phone and received the Samsung golf, I took my sim out my old phone but it won't connect to the network, I put it back in my old phone and It won't work on that either now. 

Also when the sim is in my new phone the number has changed, but its the same sim so how is it a different number?

Welcome to the community,

It looks like you took out an additional line with a new phone rather than upgrade, although that does not make sense why your old SIM card is not working either.

I would suggest ringing customer service tomorrow morning and they should be able to help.
