Network not registered

Hi, I am on a ee contract and recently upgraded my phone and contract when I attempted to put my old ee sim which I have been using for years into the new phone it kept saying network not registered  so unable to call or text. I have rebooted the phone and cleaned the port and inserted the sim again multiple times. It also is not a network issue as others on ee in my house have no problems and the coverage is showing fine. Can anyone help?

Hi @Zed3_ ,

When you upgraded, did you opt for a replacement sim too?

If so, you can either wait for the new sim to arrive, or visit an EE store with Photo ID for a new sim which will work immediately.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi @Zed3_

Thanks for coming here 🙂

Did you receive another SIM card with your upgrade?

Does the old SIM still work in your old phone?

There is no need to unnecessarily replace a working SIM, unless it's proven faulty. Checking it in your old phone is a good test of this.

In this case, that would also highlight whether the issue is with your new phone, or the existing SIM.
