Network issues

I use my ee sim in my router for internet. I pay for the unlimited data plan and yet, I’ve not actually had service to enjoy it. I’m constantly getting disconnected from the internet and it’s been such a disappointment. I unfortunately am locked in a 24 month contract and I just feel hopeless. Does anyone have any suggestions for improving the network?

Thanks for trying the SIM in the phone @Itasoha

If the network issue followed the SIM, please get in touch with our technical support guides and they will get this looked into for you.

Thanks.

Leanne.

Good morning @Itasoha.

Welcome to the EE Community!

Since you started encountering these issues, have you had the chance to check our network status checker to see if there's anything going on in the area?

Which model of mobile router is it you're using, too?

Peter

Hello Peter,

Yes, I’ve checked the network status and it always says the same thing - that the network is good. But it isn’t working regardless.

I got a router from Curry’s, it’s a tp-link router.

Thanks for checking that for us, @Itasoha.

Do you have any other EE devices being used in the same location, and do they experience similar issues?

If they're better, then that would often indicate an issue with the device rather than the network.

Peter

Hello Peter,

I only have the one EE sim in that device

@Itasoha If possible can you test this SIM in a different device, such as your phone, to see if this provides a stable connection?

Peter

Hello Peter,

I did. I put the sim in my phone for about an hour and the network was still shoddy
