Multiple network issues in Brighton

The EE network (especially 5G) in Brighton has had multiple issues since early August, even at times when it is not busy. I can see on the status check it is showing issues currently in my area.

As it's been many weeks of issues, especially on 5G, are there some big infrastructure changes being untaken in Brighton currently?

Is the removal of Huawei equipment causing this?

Good evening @oddblueham.

Welcome to the EE Community 😊

We will sometimes need to complete maintenance on our network, but I appreciate it must be really tough if you've been struggling for a while now.

When you've been on our network status checker, have you had a chance to register for proactive updates on the area?

If you reach out to our technical support team too, they can take a closer look into what's been happening, and make sure you've got as much info as possible.

I'm not familiar with any network-issue specific to Brighton, but Huawei-removal shouldn't be causing any particular issues there.

Swapout of Huawei for Nokia/Ericsson radio kit has been done successfully at thousands of network sites up & down the country.

i have had service issues for at least 3 months in brighton now.im now missing phone calls from the hospital for an important scan as im no longer getting a signal indoors.i have to walk about 4 streets away just to be heard.been on the ee site and they have too high numbers to talk to anyone.i cant ring as theres no signal and the text i sent 10 mins ago hasnt gone through either.if this isnt resolved soon i will have to change providers which is a shame as ive been withh ee for years as have all my family and  i probably wont have the same number which means i will be missing more important calls.its getting ridiculous now

If your issues are specifically indoors, WiFi-calling is a good solution. You can use your phone for voice calls & text messages without needing any mobile coverage.

I have the same issues in Brighton/hove border. This last week it has been very bad. I can't play pogo in my local area and I can't call my mum from home. The updates say there is an issue, but so what. Even though WiFi calling is on, it's no good if it just says not on network. The call still can't be made and she really can't understand WhatsApp. I'm really wishing I hadn't transferred to EE now.

The very premise of WiFi-calling is that no network coverage is required.
