Why is the EE signal so poor on isle of Barra?
I see some can access services, I sure can’t. It shows 4bars but doesn’t connect. So no internet services. Is it a lack of bandwidth?? Or a broken mast???

Hello Christopher,
it states service is good but one can’t call, text or reply to emails on the road as there is no connectivity. I’ve changed my phone and sim still nothing. Very frustrating. I’m aware that there are others with the same issues.

There is absolutely no connectivity in Castlebay or at my home in Borve, or on the Northend of the island. No texting, no emailing, no web browsing. there are a few of us who have this issue.
I’ve changed my phone and sim, still nothing at any time of day. I have to return to base to use fixed internet to communicate. Not exactly what I asked for.

Thanks for getting back to us @Mctutums.
Since others are experiencing this I would recommend reporting this to our technical care team. You can do this via the status checker or by contacting 150, the team will then be able to look into this further.

There is no incentive on EE to intentionally reduce capacity on a site-by-site basis, although it's quite possible there's a local issue that is causing some 4G carriers to be unavailable - those should be listed on the "check status" facility.
In either case, I would recommend following the advice already given - every affected user should report this using the "report a problem" link in the first instance, and follow-up via CS if that doesn't rectify.
