My sim card has lost all network signal. I can't even do anything. I have tried restarting the phone, tried taking the s card out. Nothing is working. It was working from 6.30pm 18th December. Then at 8.30pm 18th December just gone off. I have also tried to activate a new SIM card on my contract. It's been more than 24hrs and that is not working either

Basically EE sent out a replacement for my current contract and not the SIM that I requested. Got it all sorted by ringing EE

@Pqul   Have you checked to see if there is a network issue in your area ?  Have a look at THIS and click the check status tab.
In the mean time I recommend using Wi-Fi calling if you can.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Hi @Pqul

Thanks for coming here.

Does the SIM card work in any other phone?

Do we have any network issues in the area showing on the coverage checker @Chris_B has provided?

Leanne 🙂

No network issues around my area as my other SIM card has just been activated. It's like EE have activated a new SIM then they have somehow turned my one off I've been using for years

If you activate a new SIM card for the number the service will switch to the new SIM card @Pqul

Was this for the this number or a different one on your account?

Leanne.

No this is a new number. So I have 3 numbers on my account. A watch contract, my normal contract then I bought another monthly SIM.

Thanks @Pqul

How did you register the new SIM card as mentioned in your first post?

Leanne.

I had to ring ee up. As on the website I never received a code.

Thanks for confirming @Pqul

Was this over 24 hours ago? The SIM can take 24 hours to register.

If so, can you try the SIM in another phone to see if this works?

Leanne 🙂

The new sim is now activated, it's my phone contract number that I guess has been Deactivated. So at the minute I can have 2 SIM cards in 1 phone.
