Update: 04 December 2025
For mast which has been damaged by a fire in the cabinet, our engineers have been working with the power company to access the area and re-instate the power supply. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, we expect the power to be re-instated and all work completed by the middle of December.
For the replacement mast at the first location, we are working with the fibre company to access the area and install the leased line. Once the leased line has been installed, we can start integrating the mast onto the network and confirm an on-air date for the new mast.
For the second location, legal steps are continuing to legally acquire the land from the landowner. Pending a positive outcome from the legal negotiations, we can start building the equipment needed for the new mast and confirm an approximate on-air date.
We will keep you updated on this post.
We are aware of a signal issue that is affecting some of our customers in the Little Thurrock area. Our mast in the area had to be removed from the existing site in November 2025, as this was requested by the landowner. The service in Little Thurrock has also been impacted by another mast in the area being offline since September 2025, due to a fire in the cabinet. Our engineers have repaired the damaged equipment, and are waiting for the power supply to be re-instated. Once we have a date for the power to be re-instated and the mast to be back on-air, we will update this post.
To provide the same level of coverage lost by the existing mast being removed, we will require two new masts and our engineers began looking for new locations as soon as we were made aware our equipment had to be removed and found two suitable areas.
For the first location, our engineers have built the equipment needed for the new mast and are waiting for a leased line to be installed by the Fibre Company. Once the leased line has been installed, we can start integrating the mast onto the network and confirm an on-air date for the new mast.
For the second location, our engineers have started legal steps to legally acquire the land from the landowner. Pending a positive outcome from the legal negotiations, we can start building the equipment needed for the new mast and confirm an approximate on-air date.
We will keep you updated on this post.

I’ve got my PAC today and compensation for the last invoice. There was no reason to refuse me to leave the contract without any fees because they just cannot tell when the problem will be fixed.

For info I work from home due ill health
so far I have missed two incoming calls from the hospital necessary to monitor my drugs making it necessary to drive to Southend both times
i have had so many incoming calls were I can’t even tell them to call MY NEW VODAFONE because they can’t hear me
your reasons for failing are no comfort to us subscribers. Exactly No guess work. When do I get a decent service back
while your at it do you have a dedicated team dealing with compensation claims.

So basically your telling me they had the bright idea to remove the cell mast on top of the big block of flats first then try and look for a new place/location for the new mast…. Wouldn’t it have been better to find and secure a place for the new cell tower mast build that then remove the old one??? I have had no EE network since the 19th of November total blackout. Yes I have wifi calling but that doesnt always work I have to use what’s app calling over WiFi or FaceTime audio. But I have two kids in school one of which has epilepsy and if the school need to reach me they can’t always do so as regular calling isn’t reliable. This could go on for a matter of weeks if not more by the sounds of it. Never been more frustrated in all my life whoever thought it was a good idea to do it the way the have and leaving us with no coverage at all need to re think their jobs!

No, the removal of the existing site was requested by the landowner thus the existing lease came to an end. Certainly not something of EE's choice.

If WiFi-calling is not working, I'd suggest starting a separate thread to explain the specific issue you're having - and get some help with that. Use the "start a conversation" link in the mobile services section to start a dedicated post for your issues.
There is no reason for it not to work, if you have a working WiFi connection.

Ok your saying it was the lease coming to an end no the block of flats are being demolished therefore yes of course it would come to an end. But you all knew the flats are being demolished that the cell tower would obviously need to come down. I mean I’ve known for months and months those flats are being demised hence you guys would have known also
The whole situation is a joke tbh with you should have had better planning regarding the cell tower being removed. Like I stated above find location and start rebuilding new mast before testing one down. No it’s not EE’s fault the block of flats with the cell tower on was being demolished therefore the lease being terminated. But the poor planning of it is if you knew it would completely knock out customers you should have found and built a new mast first to cause less disruption of network. As I said when driving in the area or vecinity of where I live no bars no signal no calling on texting no 5g nothing!
I shouldn’t have to go to all this trouble to start a seperate thread regarding wifi calling always working
