We are aware of a signal issue that is affecting some of our customers in the Barnet area. Our mast in the area had to be removed from the existing site in March 2026, as the building is being redeveloped.
Our engineers began looking for a new location as soon as we were made aware our equipment had to be removed. We have located an area for the new mast and are currently conducting surveys to make sure the location will be suitable for the equipment. Pending a positive outcome from the surveys, we can start legal steps to legally acquire the land from the site provider and start building the equipment needed for the new mast.
We will keep you updated on this post.
We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused. In the meantime, you may be able to use WiFi Calling to make and receive calls and texts over a WiFi connection.
For information on who can use WiFi Calling and how to set up this service, please see our Using WiFi Calling, Help page.

My switch to Vodafone is tomorrow. They have good signal here (my work phone is Vodafone).
Companies like EE do not care about their customers complaining all you can do is speak with your wallet and go elsewhere if you can.

Sites being removed due to legal issues is not specific to EE, all networks have these issues from time-to-time. EE are quite open about these situations, demonstrated by public posts such as being discussed here. Vodafone closed their support forum last year, so you'd have to rely on their CS in situations such as this.
All networks are reliant on the planning system for new site builds, vocal locals are often quick to complain about new sites but rarely as quick to write in support. Edited to add here's a case from North Yorkshire that affects O2 & VF - https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2025/10/mast-removal-in-hebden-bridge-leaves-o2-and-vodafone-u...

It would have been nice to be warned about the removal of the mast and given a time line of when our service will be reinstated. I signed up yesterday to keep updated by text regarding these works. I received one that said you have fixed the problem! This is clearly not true as I can't receive phone calls or make them. Why am I paying for a service that I am not getting. This is a huge inconvenience as I am waiting for important calls. Please only send update via text regarding the works when they are true. I am a very disappointed customer right now.
