Automatically power off and on...

This February I got a text msg from EE such as ' Great news" We've updated some of your network settings, please restart your phone to make sure it's up to date', and I did.  Since that my phone suddenly shuts down regardless of using it or not.  It takes about  5 min to come back and this happens at least once per hour.... So stressful!!! 

Could anyone pls advise me? Should I discard my SIM?

Your phone restarting won't have anything to do with config changes applied either to your SIM or account.

@Zxcvbn_1  - Have you had a look at Apple's community forum threads for any suggestions? Or made use of Apple's Support channels; phone, chat, email, in-store?
