5G is available in two variants - Standalone (known as SA) and Non-Standalone (NSA) - 5G+ is how EE promote 5GSA
In 5G-NSA, your phone remains connected to a 4G anchor layer at all times, and 5G is an additional coverage layer. In 5G-SA, a phone only uses 4G when there is no 5G available. Once 5G is on offer, 4G is no longer used.
It would be useful to understand what you mean by the signal becoming bad, this could mean different things to different people. Are you referring to reduced on-screen bars, which shouldn't be an issue of itself? Reduced data speeds? Or something else?
