To get a little more Data, I phoned EE and it was suggested I become part of my wife's EE Broadband and mobile deal. Then I was put through to someone else (re-do security after long wait) This person told me that I couldn't change my plan because we had old EE Broadband (Legacy??) and we need New EE Broadband. However, we aren't able to change to new EE Broadband at this address (Couldn't tell me why).
So instead, I was offered another 20GB per month for about £1 more per month! Good deal, so I said yes please!
Handed over to yet another EE person (security and another long wait) who then told that because my plan had been amalgamated into my wife's Broadband plan only half an hour earlier, they now couldn't offer me any changed for 6 months!!!
I feel such a victim, I was led to believe one thing then told I can't do it. Complete waste of an hour.
Why couldn't they just change me back to what I had before with just a little more data? What an effort.
Not happy.

Were you on PAYG before all this happened? If so, you've been moved to a committed contract.
Visit http://add-on.ee.co.uk/purchase when not connected to WiFi to see what data add-ons are available.
What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker.
To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

No, not helpful.
I was on a sim only deal. At the moment things are working ok, but I would, at some stage like a little more data.
I have a feeling that any more dealings with EE will make things worse!

Hi @peteroica
You should be able to increase your plan, or apply a data-add on at any time.
However, if you have had an account change today, the system would need 24 hours to update before it would allow any further changes.
I'd recommend giving Customer Service a call tomorrow and ask for a simple plan change for more data.
The restrictions they may have mentioned would be for new deals and renewals only. You can still do that at a later date if you increase your plan tomorrow for more data.
