Wifi booster

Hello, my problem is while up at our caravan I use my mobile phone for a tethered wifi hot-spot. I only receive a one bar 4G signal and a download data speed of around 8Mbs.

Is there a booster rather than an extender that I could use to boost either the phone signal or data download speed.

The coverage indicators on your phone screen are just that - an indicator, one bar is still a bar, it's the underlying RSRP/RSRQ/SNR values that dictate your signal quality. The speeds are also dictated by the carriers available on your serving site.

An external antenna is the first thing to use, if you're not already.
