WhatsApp Charges

Hi,

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong forum.

A long while ago I got a large charge for an international WhatsApp video call as seemingly one of us was using data and it charged accordingly.

I still use WhatsApp sometimes now for video calls internationally.

If both users on a WhatsApp video call are using WiFi only with data turned off, will additional charges apply, and if so is there any way of checking this without waiting for my next bill date?

I just want to double check so that I don’t get more anxious about this.

Thank you again,

Kind regards,

Nathanael

You must have been charged by WhatsApp for the call. EE will never charge you for using WhatsApp. WhatsApp only uses data which you don't pay for directly but it comes out of your plan's monthly data allowance.

When using WiFi you'll just be using your WiFi provider's data & that's no concern of EE's.
