First time posting, hoping someone can help as EE cannot...
I'm having problems with my home wifi which won't be resolved any time soon so I am using my phone as a mobile hotspot. The phone connects fine to the laptop. When I try to connect via VPN, it initially accepts the connection and password but it won't connect to the VPN server. On my phone I have dual sim (personal and work). If I change my mobile data to "work", no issues with connecting to VPN. My work sim is also on EE.
I've connected through my wife's phone (she is also on EE) and there are no issues. So I don't know what to do to connect with my personal phone. EE suggest I factory reset my phone but I can't imagine the phone is the issue as I can connect through the work sim on my phone.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks for coming here.
Are you able to try your EE SIM card in another phone to see if this works?
Have you had a replacement SIM for this issue?

I was having the same issue up until I read your post today.
I removed the additional SIM I had and was able to able to connect to VPN using EE mobile hotshot.
Therefore maybe one of your two SIMs is blocking / or there is a conflict between the tow.
Maybe try each SIM individually to start with.
