I have had contracts with EE for many years, using my same number. My most recent plan (I’ve had for 8 months) is still using the same number. I am however being charged £2 a day to use my data in Mallorca. Is this correct?

Yes, as you took out your current contract plan after 07/07/21 there'll be a £2 / day charge for using your UK allowances in EU or alternatively you may buy the Roam Abroad Pass for £11.40 / month.

I think it's better value for money than that. It's actually £8.33/mo excluding VAT, so a straight up £10/month including VAT. Even better 🙂

@grsdev : No, it has since risen to £11.40 / month. EE hasn't yet updated their Help pages on it but the EE standard and non standard charges price guide is up-to-date:

Roaming              Roam Further Pass6                  £11.40           30 Days Rolling

BTW: We & EE never quote consumer prices ex-VAT. It just confuses everybody.

Thanks for the update. It's not only the help pages that haven't been updated, it's also https://myaccount.ee.co.uk/app/benefits-landing which is where you sign up for the add-on (and the "Reccuring[sic]" cost is given ex. VAT, for the record).
