Hi James,
This is an old thread but I have the same question. I have an iPhone 12. When I go to Settings / Mobile Data / Add Data Plan on the phone it says 'Position the QR code from your network provider in the frame.'
The only QR code I was given was a web page welcome experience augmented reality thing.
You can add the data plan manually, but it asks for a SM-DP+ Address, an Activation Code, and a Confirmation Code, none of which I know. In case it helps, I have a physical SIM and I'm on a Pay Monthly plan. Thx

Do you have an EE SIM card in the iPhone?
If you need a data add-on, you can visit add-on.ee.co.uk.
No QR code should be needed to add data to your account.

Hi @duffy502
You should not need to add a data plan in your iPhone if your plan includes a data allowance, do you have an EE SIM card in the iPhone?

this support is not very much support tbh, which I’d imagine is why the original poster has left the conversation
doesnt need to, but wants to as there is an Option to do so in the Apple IOS.
