I have a Xiaomi Poco F7 Ultra mobile and I want to pair a Galaxy S7 smartwatch with my included data sharing plan; however, I don't want to buy the watch if it's not compatible with the network.
It will obviously work on my phone (minus a few features) but EE told me that it HAS to be connected to a Samsung device for pairing.
Has anybody paired a Galaxy or Pixel watch to a mobile that isn't Samsung or Google. I find it hard to imagine that it's incompatible.
Thank you.

It's been a while, but the last time I tried to do this was with a Google Pixel and a Galaxy Watch, and it would pair with the Pixel over Bluetooth but not let me set up the Paired Watch Plan.
Solution at the time was to put the SIM into and pair the Watch with a Samsung device first, and use that to set up the Paired Watch Plan.
Then did a reset on the Watch but chose to keep the eSIM profile on the reset, and then pair the Watch with the Pixel over Bluetooth.
No idea if this still works, and it was a bit of a faff.

Thank you for responding. It doesn't seem like it's available on many devices other than the big name devices with their own watches. I have a spare Samsung so I might get the Watch 7 and give it a go.
Thank you.
