Hi everyone,
Got a bit of a weird one and have been in touch with EE guides several times to no avail. My mobile data only works with apps such as maps, Spotify and YouTube when I'm having a VPN. If the VPN is off these apps don't work at all on mobile data. WhatsApp and phone calls work regardless.
Was hoping someone could help figure this out with me?
Much appreciated

Hello @scottle89 ,
Welcome to the community,
Why switch off VPN? It protects you etc, not sure why you would want to switch it off, please explain.

Hi @scottle89,
Welcome to the EE Community
That is a weird one, is this something that started happening after you setup your VPN or were you never able to access those apps on mobile data? And mobile data generally works for other things, its just specific apps without the VPN?
And presumably you can still load them up on WiFi with the VPN disconnected? I presume you will have done one when calling up but just in case you haven't, have you reset your network settings since the issue began?
Have you tested the mobile data with the VPN fully uninstalled if its an app or removed if you set it up manually in settings to see if the issue still remains the the VPN completely gone rather than just turned off?

Hi @scottle89
Try resetting the apps under settings - apos - (reset app preferences) assuming you are using android.
Also make sure your data is active.
If on android you can download your settings here: https://setup-ee.wdsglobal.com/index.html
Thanks
