Limitations on data gifting ?

I'm looking to take another line out to use as a data SIM. Are they're any limits on how much data you can gift ? For example I currently get 180gb of data, so is it possible to gift as much of that data as I like each month ?

@Ledge97   From a unlimited data tariff you can only gift 100Gb from a 4G tariff and 120Gb from a 5G tariff.   The data also has to be the first 100/120Gb of the allowance so if you used 50Gb first before gifting you’ll only be able to gift 50/70Gb depending on the tariff type.

are you looking at gifting from your current one or the new one that you intend to take out ?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Thanks for the reply, I understand what you mean, but In my instance I've haven't got unlimited data, so does this limit still apply? Also on the EE app it says I can gift my remaining data... So I decided to send 130gb to my partner's phone and it worked, so still a bit confused....

Maybe this is because her phone contract is on my account ?

From your 180gb Allowance you will be able to Gift pretty much all of it or parts of it repeatedly, or from what ever you haven't used during your monthly period.

It will always hold a bit back, normally at least 0.5gb (500mb) so for example if you haven't used any Data your be able to gift around 179.5gb across.

In order to Gift Data between numbers they all need to be on the same Account.

Unlimited Data Plans are the exception to the above, as said, they are limited to the amounts of Data that can Gift each month.

So the gifting limit only applies to unlimited plans ?

Yes, correct.
