Full reset of network settings - cant use it outside now

Hi Community,

A few weeks ago, my phone decided not to connect to my car - Mercedes. So after trying everything I found a chat where resetting network setting would solve it.

So it did fix it, managed to connect it to my car etc. However I cant seem to load any social apps with the likes of instagram, tiktok, youtube, linkedin. I can surf the web and load the boring news though....

I have checked in the data settings to allow mobile data to be used by these apps but I cant load anything anymore!

Could there be something switched off or stopped?

EE's Content Lock is being applied to adult sites. Are you on contract or PAYG?

  • On Contract: Follow Switching Content Lock OFF or ON .
  • On PAYG: On PAYG you can't control Content Lock from your MyEE. Instead you need to call EE with a credit card handy & pay a refundable token amount to prove you are over 18. Alternatively you can visit an EE store with some photo ID.

@Myrtlewood1

It's certainly a strange situation that you're apps have stopped connecting to data after performing a network reset.
The data access on the account is still working as you're able to browse as normal. We don't have a setting which will specifically block apps while fully allow normal browsing.

For the blocked apps like Instagram and YouTube, are you able to visit the web version of those sites?

Do your apps function correctly when you're connected via WiFi?

There may be a handset setting which may have changed after your reset. Can you tell us which make/model mobile phone device are you using? That will help us suggest which steps to take and check on your device.
