I have a SIM in my iPad. It has a phone number. The EE account linked to that number has £60 credit in top up but I am unable to use that credit to add data to my iPad. Please help, its driving me crazy!

Visit http://add-on.ee.co.uk/purchase when not connected to WiFi to see what data add-ons are available.

Thanks for trying to help. With wi-fi turned off, the "4G" keeps appearing in the top right corner of my iPad then disappearing. How would I know if the SIM has "expired"?

When did you last use it?

My last data purchase was Feb 2025. Can a SIM be reactivated? What happens to the £60 in my account if not?

No, @leegroves , you are out of time by not using it for so long & you have lost your £60 credit
Your PAYG SIM has gone into hibernation due to non-use & then been completely deactivated.
EE PAYG SIMs are deactivated after 6 months of non-chargeable use. You then have a further 3 months period of grace to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely.
You needed to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.

And there's no way to get the £60 back? Thats scandalous I think,.

It's within the T&C's which you accepted when you bought your SIM. Did you read them?

Hmm, luckily I'm not some non-tech savvy 80 year old person who just wants to use their iPad to keep in touch with their grandchildren. I appreciate your information and insight. Much obliged!

Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance & trust it is now sorted.
I don't see what age has to do with it.
