Anyone having issues connect to the network following the iOS 18 update?  Apple’s advice doesn’t work and I’ve put a brand new EE some in and still won’t connect. TIA

Hello @TaDa1 ,

Welcome to the community,

Why did you put a new SIM card in your phone? Was there a problem with your original card or have you just moved over to EE?

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

Hi

i thought it might have been a failed SIM card so I went to my local EE store and they said it had been happening a lot with apple customers and a new card would sort it but it hasn’t worked.

Hi @TaDa1

Did you get the phone from EE.

Are you on EE PAYG or pay monthly contract.

Did the SIM work in the store.

Thanks

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone. You can call Freephone +44 800 079 8586 on Skype

Didn’t get the phone from EE  I’m on a pay monthly contract and the SIM didn’t work in the store but I was told it can take up to 24 to start working. I’ve tried everything that Apple tech support have recommended.  I have read online that this has happened a lot when the iOS 18 update is done. The SIM works find in my son’s phone!

Device software updates do not cause SIMs to fail. This is evidenced by the SIM working fine in another phone.

Where did you read this online?

@TaDa1   First I’ve heard about iOS 18 network issues and if this was the case Apple would have pulled the iOS update.  .   And as your device didn’t come from EE and your sim does work in a different device then your device is at fault.   What iPhone model number is it ?   Where did you get this device from ?

Hi,

Do you find any useful tips to resolve it? My phone got the same issues after updating to IOS 18. I went to EE, make a new sim card but it doesn't helpful, this sim works well in EE guy's phone, but it shows No Service on my phone. I texted to Apple Support, they did diagnostics check and told me it should work well and IOS 18 helped my phone working faster (i dont think so).

Hi @LivLivLuvLuv

Thanks for coming to the community.

Have you spoke with our tech guides to have a look into this further? They can run through some diagnostic checks from our side to see if they can spot anything that could be causing it.

If the SIM is working in another phone, it does point to something with the phone.
