VPN issues on 4g sim connection

We live 4.5 miles from nearest telephone exchange and have suffered slow/non-existent broadband connection speeds through landline connections for many years (fibre is not available in our area). However my mobile phone internet spedd is fantastic and so I cancelled the Plusnet broadband package and took out an EE sim only deal with unlimited data and bought a TP Link sim router. Our connection speeds are now impressive with 95+mBps download and 38 mBps upload but I cannot connect through the SSL VPN to my office server - no settings have been changed, I simply unplugged the Plusnet router and plugged in the TP Link router and ... nothing! We we running both services simultaneously for a brief period and the Plusnet one worked (most of the time) but the EE connection never connected. EE says it doesn't support VPNs but they were careful to say that didn't mean that they wouldn't work. Connection speed isn't the problem as it is almost 5 x quicker than the best speed we had with any other provider and it seems to be pretty stable. Frustratingly, I can connect remotely to my office server through Zoho or similar but I don't have full functionality without paying the premium membership - I would rather spend the money making the VPN work on EE if necessary as I have line of sight to the transmitter and I'm very happy with the internet connection provided in every other respsect. Can anyone help me?

@Hallamtike  is your phone on EE ?  If it is can you test this with a VPN on your phone then try and connect using Zoho with your phone.  Are you using Zoho one ?  or Zoho assist or other Zoho app.      I’ve not experienced any issues with a VPN and any Zoho app yet.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
