I am getting 15-30Mbs download but only 0.5 upload. I do a lot of work using Zoom, Teams etc and the speed is an issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Does an external arial booster or lte antennae make a difference? if so what ones would you recommend?

Really appreciate any help

Thanks

Hi @Danny5811.

Have you tried moving the router to a different location?

Our Tech Gurus can give you more information on an external antenna if you give them a call.

Hi @Danny5811

Have you checked EE signal and network checker?

Where is your 4GEE router placed in your house? Try moving it near an upstairs window. If your quality then increases it maybe worth getting an aerial . If you are on the outskirts of the signal area then there isn't much which can be done to improve reception.

Thanks

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.

The signal is fine i am getting 30mbs download - its just the upload that is poor?

We’re the same

good download speed but only 0.5 upload speed.

using an external aerial and line of sight to the mast.

do EE cap the upload?

EE do not cap upload Speeds, but due to the Network Architecture of 4G its fairly common for upload speeds to be a lot slower than Download Speeds and can sometimes be between 5 and 10% slower.

How old is your 4G Router, do you have access to a modern 4G Phone where you could put the Router Sim in and do some Tests outside the Home? this would be a good test to do to get some idea of the Network speeds before going down the External Antenna Route.
