Upgraded to new 5G router and internet is now 10x slower.

I upgraded my contract yesterday and the new 5G hub arrived today. Since getting it all set up my download and uploads speeds are literally 10x slower than they were on my old 5GEE Router. There appears to be no explanation for this that I can see. I have 5G in my area and the old hub still connects fine giving me a download speed of around 40-50mbps. The new hub struggles to manage 4mbps download and rarely even seems to register an upload speed.

If you use the SIM card in the old router does the speed increase? 

Do we have any known problems for the area showing on the EE Coverage & Network Status Checker | Check your signal if you select 'check status'?

Hi,

I was not sent a new SIM card so yes putting the SIM card in the old router increases the speed as that's the set-up i've been using for the last 2 years.

I checked the coverage and network checker and there are no issues in my area.
