I live in a area that can’t provide broadband. I currently use 4g Wi-Fi with EE. I have started to struggle getting any decent download speeds, this with using an external antenna and an upgraded router. Would getting a signal repeater help get a better signal?

Hi @Hamster0206.
Welcome to the community.
Have you spoken to our Tech Gurus about this?
An external antenna should boost the signal.

@Jon_K No I haven't, I do have an outside antenna, but the signal I get is not great and intermittent.
I cant get a line of sight to a mast or that I have a hill in the way to the best mast.
How do I get hold of the tech guru's?

Do you have an EE mobile? And if so, does that have the same issues?
That would be a good way of checking for problems with the mobile network.

@bristolian Yes I have EE mobile, when I’m in the house it’s always on Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi calling. In the garden drops to 4g which is minimal. Live in a bit of a dip quite rural, can get any other broadband options.

Dont waste your time, money and effort on potential Signal Boosters, it will not help you, Signal Boosters can sometimes be beneficial, if Installed and Setup correct but purely for increased Signal for making Voice Calls and Texts, etc, it will not help with LTE Data Speeds, if anything probably make it worse.
Concentrate on what you have and possible ways to improve your Setup, as @bristolian says, start by doing some tests by using a Mobile in your location (Signal and Speed around the House Windows and Garden), that way your have a reference point and something to work from.
What Mobile make and Model do you have.
