Hi,

We have one of the small ee 4g mini router as we live on a boat and was moving about alot, we are now on a permanent mooring so have access to 240v power all the time and  i had an old b535 router that seemed to be unlocked. Unfortunately for love nor money ( apart from going through a vpn)  we cant get it to connect to IP4 so gaming is out the question. It seems  like this is quite common for EE but as it's not their device it's not their problem 😔. So we were wondering if anyone could recommend a new plug in the wall 4g router as ee won't even do that and we're 6 months in to a 24 month contract and the best advice they have given us is to cancel and upgrade to the "home hub" option which would cost a fortune.

Many thanks in advance

Hi @Luc10

Do you have a new router or are you looking to get one?

Jon

were looking to buy one as said above, we have the wifi mini but would rather a plug in the wall router now instead of the mifi, . but because of the EE IP4 issues i don't want to just buy any 4g router and face the same difficulties we are having with the B535-333 , so were looking for options so we can just buy a 4g plug in to the wall router as they have better reception.

many thanks

Hi @Luc10

If you'd like to get Home Broadband with EE, you can do this through our online shop or by giving us a call.

There is the mains-powered 4G or 5G Home Router.

as stated in the original post we are 6 months into a 24 months contract and you want a huge chunk of change to upgrade. What I want because your stupid settings is to pay about £100 quid for a generic one that will actually work unlike the b535-333 because you don't support a IP4 and were locked out. I put all the information on the original post I even put we talked to EE you're about as useful as the people in the shops and online, you don't read or listen and just try and upsell
