Lately EE mobile Internet has been so slow, did a speedtest just now and I'm getting download speeds of 2.8mbps, what's going on EE?

Never checked before, checked this time but no fault came up, maybe because it was working even if it was only 2mbps

Hi @Makka

Sorry to hear you’re facing problems with your data speeds.

The first step to try is restarting your device.
Do you know if anyone else on EE is facing the same issue?
Is the internet slow only in a particular area, or everywhere you go (at least 3 miles away)?

You can check coverage and network status at Check mobile coverage where you can also report any issues you are facing, as well as sign up for updates on any known issues that may be going on.

Hi, thanks for replying, it's everyone else in the house aswell who has EE, it seems like every now and again the I lose EE connectivity in the area, I was thinking it was to do with the mast at the bottom of the road.  Because when it happened before, I drove out of the area and it was fine, drove back same issue.

This time it was just so slow.

@Makka The experience you describe definitely sounds like it would be a local mast issue. Did anything pop up on the coverage checker @Ali_A linked?

If you are having issues but nothing shows on the coverage checker you do have the option to submit a problem report to us for the area.

You can also speak to our technical team who will be able to check out the local area for any recent issues to help clarify what is happening.

@Makka If nothing came back on the coverage checker when you put in your postcode, there is a Report a problem link on the coverage page. That will send a report to our network team to monitor the area for any issues and let you know any updates via text.

Or as I say its worth contacting our technical team so they can run some further checks to see if they can locate the cause of the issue.
