Hello There

Just received my Huawei CPE Pro from the 5GEE Home Router bundle

It is the Huawei H112 - B372 model

My issue is with this router now I cannot connect my switch  or even do some facetime and all the app for video call its says all the time connecting .. but nothing.

Just before I had the home broadband from Three, very slow speed, but at least I did not get any issue for all Video call or even connecting my switch.

Any idea of what could be the problem in the settings ?

Tried to take off the firewall, same issue

Tried to unblock the parental control from EE, same issue

Following that post : https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/4G-and-mobile-data/Torrent-issue-with-Huawei-5g-CPE-Pro/m-p/838918/hig...

I bet I could be the APN issue, but can't find where to change/ tweak it.

Thank you very much fr your help

I have also been tearing my hair out for months with this issue (isolated to problems with video on certain devices and with certain services) and can confirm that the fix has worked for me so far.

It's worth mentioning that on my device - CPE Pro 2 (H122-373) with software version 10.0.5.13 - I CAN edit the IP type for the existing default APN, so didn't need to add a new one.

Thank you for posting the fix.  I wonder when EE are going to do something about this...

I've been having problems with my H112-372 since I got it last month. I would lose internet connection sometimes every day but usually at least once a week. My phone would say it was connected but no internet and unable to access the hub web page. After losing connection twice yesterday I thought it was time to do something. My phone said it had an IP address of 192.0.0.4! I have managed to set the hub to IP4 only so we'll see if that helps.

There have been some Firmware Updates this week for the 370 and 372 5G CPE Router's, so I would strongly recommend a Manual Update check, the Updates will probably be dependent on the Router Model and Firmware Originator.

Nothing here yet and I cannot see any mention of new firmware online anywhere yet. Will keep an eye out over the next few days.

I did check for firmware updates. Mine is running

10.0.1.1(H321SP5C983)

which was mentioned in this thread in May 2020.

My H112-372 was supplied by EE.

Recieved an update Yesterday

10.0.5.11(H351SP2C983)

Network Free Huawei 112-370, having said that apart from the IPV6 issue, which is resolved by using IPV4 Only, I don't seem to be having any Signal or Drop Out issues since owning the Device.

Well that didn't last long, I lost connection and had to reboot for the second time today. I'm seriously considering putting my sim in my B535 router and going back to 4G!

I've found some potential newer firmwares on the easy firmware site but would not dare to try them unless someone else has.

By "lost connection" do you mean the cellular connection dropped? It should reconnect automatically so did you find on the router that it was failing to do this and required a reboot?

A dropped WiFi connection is something else entirely.

Is it possible to prefer a 4G LTE connection over a 5G connection to test for stability?

@mikeliuk, a lot of Firmware locked Routers now don't allow switching off of 5G sadly, although it is possible using an API Command, although I wouldn't recommend that unless the User is really on top of there game with the Routers workings.

In order to recieve a 5G Signal the Router needs to be activated with a 4G Signal 😉

In the fault condition my phone appears to be connected by wifi to the hub but with an invalid IPv6? address so I cannot get any data from the internet or even access the hub itself so the only thing that I can see are the leds on the hub which are all on as usual.

The ability to switch between 5G 4G and even 3G appears to be one of the many hidden options in the hub webpage. I have managed to unhide the 5G and 4G tick boxes but I ticked both for the moment and it is still working. I may untick the 5G later in the week when I am at home more.
