EE4G dongle keeps going on and off

First of all I need to say that I am not IT savvy so if anyone answers please make answer suitable for idiots.  I have an EE4G broadband dongle that I used fine 2 years ago (in the same location as I am now).   I have recently got a new SIM from EE and tried to use it again.  It was fine for a few days then kept going on and off and now today hardly working at all.  There are 4 buttons across the bottom and from left to right the first 3 are lighting up but not the fourth. I don't know if that is meant to light up or not.  Also it is very windy where I am and I don't know if that affects it.  Or maybe I need a new dongle? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Afternoon @jb9

Welcome to the community.

Could you check the EE Coverage & Network Status Checker, by entering your postcode and selecting 'Check Status' do we have any network issues in the area?

Speak soon 🙂

The 4th indicator is probably an envelope which only lights up when you have received an SMS.
