EE Wi-Fi Dongle Turns Off After Period of Time

I’m having problems getting the 4g mini mobile broadband to stay on. I’m getting around 30 minutes but then it switches off even if it’s plugged in. I’ve reset it multiple times but it still turns itself off. Ive seen another thread with the same issue. Can anyone help?

Depending on the Device Model it will probably Switch Off if it doesn't have a Device connected to it after a period of time via WiF, ie, you've got your Phone connected to over WiFi, gone done the Pub with your Phone, come back and WiFi is switched off.

You need to have a Device connected to it permanently to stop this scenario from happening. 

Moons ago when I used these Devices I used to have a cheap and cheerful inactive Credit Now TV Box connected permently that did absolutely nothing other than keep the WiFi active when not being used.

I've only had my mobile device recently and it keeps switching itself off. Then it doesn't work at all. I'm wondering how long does it last without needing charging?

I've not used that product, does it plug into a laptop or desktop?

There is a setting in Windows that turns off devices to save power, this may be the cause.
