Hi,
Just moved to an EE 4G Mobile broadband router after many years of BT stability and everything working 24/7.
We stay in a bungalow and the previous router was in the loft and provided great signal across the house, so everything worked. The new EE mobile router was put in the same place and the signal was poor at 1 bar. We have moved it to one end of the house where the PC is - the TV and Fire Stick in the lounge now keep dropping off due to a poor signal. Moving the router into the lounge with the TV gives no issues but we lose PC connectivity then, so it's no good.
Basically I'm looking for some ideas before I call EE and tell them to stick this thing where the sun don't shine. It's been 4 days of trying to get this to work and I'm sick of it! Thanks everybody...

Hi @Dunvegan,
Welcome to the Community!
I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you've been having since switching to your new router. Was your previous router also mobile broadband?

Just to follow up and confirm the fix for this issue.
Basically, I've rejected the EE 4G Broadband as being not fit for purpose under the 1979 Sale of Goods Act. The sales person from EE was basically disgusted that I'd been recommended this at all by one of their team ("there are some people who just shouldn't be talking to Customers" was her quote...) and she also agreed that it was a rather crap product. The contract was then cancelled and a new one opened for a new router. This one is basically what we had before - a router connected to a landline but giving far higher speeds - and all this for £30/month...ideal - and what we should have been sold in the first place.
In conclusion - EE 4G Mobile Broadband is basically crap. Google it and see...

I do take issue with your last statement.
I don't think that is a fair assessment to make about an entire product, as it is entirely based on your own experience. A better way to put it is that it didn't work for you.
In my experience, in an area where Fixed-Line Broadband only provides horribly slow ADSL speeds and reliability, EE's 4G Mobile Broadband gets us speeds of up to 100 Mbps and it happily allows us to stream on multiple devices.
Using the same logic I could say it's the best thing to ever exist, but I won't say that because it is massively dependent on; the use case, the size of property, and the quality of the mobile network connection in the area. It's all subjective.
A Wi-Fi coverage issue within the property can be resolved through the use of range extenders, but in my case most devices are focused around the location of the Mobile Router so I haven't needed to explore that. This sounds like it may have been the issue in your case however.
If you had a suitable Fixed-Line Broadband solution available to you, then of course that would be a better option and this seems to have been reflected by the comments of the EE Guide and the subsequent solution, but not everyone has that same luxury and often do have to rely on a mobile broadband option.
In future please state your opinion as what it is, an opinion. It is not representative of everyone's experiences.
