Below advertised internet speeds/connection

I live in central london but have no cabling for broadband, so have settled with a 4g smart mobile broadband box. The package advertised rates of 15mbps, i'm lucky if i can achieve 2mbps. I have called in the past and been told there's nothing they can do, so as it stands i'm paying for the benefit of having the box in the flat as to run a youtube video is asking a lot. I've called asking if it's possible to upgrade to something that would be more reliable but told unlikely, so i'm now asking here if anyone has any ideas before i just give my 30 days notice to terminate the internet, i've been with them a year and watched as it progressively gets worse. It was never great but not this bad either.

Speeds on mobile BB are not guaranteed & depend on the mobile network in your vicinity.

If it is a neighbourhood issue, you could consult Check service in your area  to see if any faults are being attended to in your local area. You may also Report a Problem there.

Have you tried putting the mobile router on or near a window sill?

If you are wanting to cease your mobile contract completely you need to phone EE giving 30 days notice of cancellation of your contract. If you are still within your min term you will be liable to pay Early Termination Fees for the rest of the term. They will basically be months left x monthly charge - 4%.

@Gibson6128  Depending on what box you’ve got, you might need an outdoor aerial as your home could be hampering the signal strength.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
